Another Challenge!

I made this card to send to my Nana for Christmas and also for a few challenges. Mojo Monday has a great sketch goin' on, very sweet and simple! And also The Pink Elephant Challenge blog has a theme challenge this week of Winter/and or Christmas.

This adorable Angel is another Krista Schnieder/Sunshine Designs stamp. I've had it forever and actually made my Christmas cards with it about 3 years ago. I didn't realize how much I loved it until I pulled it out again and dusted her off a bit!!!

For this card I used my copics and shaded around the image with prismacolor pencils. I also added Stickles to her wings and halo. The card base and solid cardstock is all Bazzill and the dp is from Cosmo Cricket - Jolly by Golly. I inked around some of the edges with my chalk ink and used my scalloped nestie to mount the image onto. I also used my favourite tool these days the bow-easy to tie the pretty organza bow and easy-peasy it was finished!!!

Its always fun joining in on challeges, there's so much talent out there, what inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, if I don't get a chance to make another post before the 25th, have a very Merry Christmas! Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season!

OH JOY!!!!

I imagine this is what is going through this little doggies mind as he holds his treasured bone all wrapped up with a big red bow.....OH JOY!!!! Talk about pure bliss!!!! This is another Mo digi stamp 'Bismark', and couldn't resist when I saw it. I have a mini schnauzer named Sammi and she looks exactly like the grey pup below. This is also the perfect card for a friend who also had a Schnauzer named Sammy & I think she'll love it!
I printed the image on Neenah cardstock on my laser printer and coloured it up with my copics. I added Stickles to the brim and pom pom of the hat and used a glaze pen on the bow, scarf and knitted part of the hat. I don't think my camera picked up the glaze, but it's there! The dp is from Crate paper's North Pole Collection (love it) and the solid cardstock and Joy sentiment is from Stampin Up. I kept this one simple, yet another great image from Mo!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

Christmas Fairy Holly!

So I was a surfin' Mo's Digital Pencil and came across this most adorable image - Christmas Fairy Holly. Isn't she magical? Well I think so, from the ruffles on her dress to the little bells hanging from her sash and the snowglobe in her hands and the holly wings...well I HAD to have this!!! I loved colouring her up too, so much fun!!! This card is for Mo's Challenge Blog - Challenge #10 - Thanks, and also for the Copic Colour Challenge using the colours BV23, R59, YG63.
I've been feeling under the weather lately but that has given me a chance to whip up a few more Christmas cards. I keep coming across so many adorable images I can't resist, especially those digis, which are easy on the pocket book this time of year (anything to justify right? lol).

I printed this image on my laser printer (when I used an ink jet, I found I couldn't use stickles cause it made the ink run), & coloured her with my copics. I added Diamond Stickles to her slippers, the tulle of her dress, the bells and the holly in her hair. I also added them to the snow globe then covered it with Crystal Laqcuer. The DP is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and the solid cardstock is Stampin Up.
I think I'll be making a few more of these to send out!
Thanks for stopping by!

Let it snow...

This card is for the Copic Creations Challenge No 17 - Snow/Snowpeople. I've had this cute little frosty for many years and he has never made his way onto a card until now! The whole problem was I didn't know how to colour him up! Thanks to all the creative ideas I found on the Copic Creations blog, I was able to find a way to make him come to life! The copics I used were, C00, C1, C2, C4, C7, B0000, B000, YR12 & 16 for the nose and R20 & 21 for the heart. Oh, and of course my Colorless Blender!!!

Although I don't agree with the sentiment on this card 'let it snow' I do agree it turned out pretty cute! I am not a winter person in any way shape or form. In fact I pretty much go into hibernation along with the bears during this season. But the good thing is, I have a hobby that feeds hibernating bears like myself, where I can crawl into my crafty cave and not be seen for hours....even days....lol! I think I'll be getting alot of cards and projects done this season!!!
Here are the details of the card:
Stamp: Jolly Snowman, Stampendous, Sentiment - Sunshine Designs
Patterned Paper: Colorful Christmas, My Minds Eye,
Embellishments: Ribbon - Stampin Up, Diamond Stickles, Basic Grey Buttons, 3D Pop dots for dimension

Our Christmas Countdown!

I had to post this picture of my kiddies enjoying their chocolate from the Advent Calendar I made for them. I purchased this Karen Foster 3D Countdown Calendar and dressed it up with My Minds Eye patterned paper (Colorful Christmas line - those snowmen are too cute!) I added lots of embellishments and stamped out a snowman, reindeer and santa, coloured them with my copics and popped them on the 1st, 13th and 25th day. My kids love this and get so excited to open each box every day, its so much fun and didn't take a long time to do. It comes with number stickers and a template to cut out the shape of the boxes. And, the other side of each box is blank so you could do a different theme on the back (i.e. halloween countdown etc...). Anyway, this was a fun project and just wanted to share. Happy Friday!!! Have a great weekend!

Snickerdoodles!!!

These were the cookies I made for a cookie exchange I had at work today. These have recently become my favourite, (to eat and bake), not to mention the name, don't you just love saying 'Snickerdoodle'?. They are soft and chewy and with the cinnamon sugar coating I'm in heaven!!! They are also very easy to make. I included the recipe and couldn't resist inking up something on the tag. This is an image by Krista Schneider of Sunshine Designs. I've had this stamp forever and thought this cute little elf would go perfect. I coloured him using my glaze pens and copics (time was of the essence and I couldn't fiddle like I usually do). To see a bigger picture you can double click on the photo! You can find the yummy recipe here! Tis the season to be baking, or eating....lol!
