Stamping Bella Bday card...another one

I meant to post this card with the Ketto's Dolly post the other day and forgot! So here he is, Mr. Ethan Lollipop from Stamping Bella, designed by Lori Boyd! This card is going to a sweet little dude who looks just like this image, hair and all, the girls just love him!!!

The Bellarific Friday theme this week was Birthday, gotta love that, you always need a birthday card in your stash. I made this one up super fast so its plain and simple. I coloured him with my copics, and found some scrap dp in my stash. Added a few buttons and the sentiment I printed from my computer. Done in a flash! Plus boys don't like all the foo foo stuff anyway...lol!

Thanks for stopping by!

Take The Pink Elephant Challenge!

Here's another Whipper Snapper stamp I received at Christmas. I couldn't wait to use it! This little pups name is Wriggley.
I stamped her on to a Twinchie I got from Stamping Bella. I loooove the twinchie, my copics colour like a dream and you can use any medium on them.

I coloured her in using my copic markers and added some glitter to her heart tag and used my clear glaze pen on her eyes and nose (you can see the detail up close to the left).

I shaded around the image with a copic marker and blended it out using my colourless blender. I love the challenge this week over at The Pink Elephant , Challenge #51 a Recipe Challenge to use Polkadots, a bow and Pink! All right up my alley!!!!!

I used my swiss dots embossing folder for the polkadots on the base of the card and the adorable dp is from Doodlebug design. I used my bow-easy for the little organza bow running across the top of the card. I think this is one of my favorite cards lately, it will be so hard to give away...I sometimes get separation anxiety parting with my fav's!!! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!!!!

Ketto's Dolly Birthday Card!

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. Where I am its rainy with a capital R!!! So I decided to do what I always do on a rainy day - stamp!!!! I created this card for a few challenges this week:

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Pretty Pink Papertake

Crazy 4 Challenges - Pretty in Pink

and also made this for Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday Birthday theme!

These challenges are easy for me cause I love everything there is to love about PINK!!! I used the image Ketto's Dolly from Stamping Bella and coloured her with my copic markers. I used my glaze pen to accent her shoes & hearts on her dress but you can't see with this picture. The solid cardstock is all Bazzill and the dp is from K&Company. I added some left over BoBunny chipboard accents that I had sitting on my desk, I guess they were meant to be on this card, don't you love it when that happens? The sentiment is from CCDesigns/Amy R Sentiments.

Anyway thanks for stoppin by, I'm going to go find my umbrella!

An all star kid!

I received some Whipper Snapper stamps for Christmas, I was so excited 'cause I didn't own any before, so getting some off my wish list was a treat! I love this image, I'm usually drawn to the girly images and papers and find it more of a challenge to make masculine cards. Speaking of challenges, I've used the sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges this week. Its a great little layout by Lori Boyd.

I coloured 'Baseball Brandon' using my copic markers, I shaded around the image using my prismacolour pencils. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket and I used Stampin Up for the solid colours. The sentiment is from Inky Antics. Now, on to the baseball....you know when you get an idea in your head and it seems like it would be just a sinch to pull off? It actually turned out pretty good in the end but it took me a while to figure out how the baseball stitches should look. I googled 'baseball images' and tried to copy how the ball looked. I cut a circle with my Creative Memories circle cutters and inked around the edges. I added two curved lines then poked holes with my piercing tool. Then I just stitched with red thread and roughed it up a little bit.

I'll be giving this card to my son, he really is my all star kid!!!

Hope you're having a great day, thanks for stopping by!

A few more challenges!

I made this card for the current challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Blog. This week is Challenge #12 and Tara has a rockin challenge to use metal! I'm also entering this for The Pink Elephant Challenge #49 which is a Birthday theme!

I have had this adorable Kraftin Kimmie Stamp for a few months now and was just itchin to use it. 'Clara' is usually holding a bird, but for the birthday challenge I decided to swap out the bird for a cupcake, it looks like she could be blowing out candles!

I coloured Clara up using my copic markers. I cut out the cupcake and pop dotted it on to her hand and added lots of stickles. I also added some stickles to the bottom hem of her skirt and hair pins. I added some blue metal brads for buttons on her petticoat and used a metal 'wish' tag with some organza ribbon in the top corner to match the sentiment which I printed from my computer. The yummy dp is by Pink Paislee. I picked up the green polkadot base paper at Scrappin' Great Deals. (a must have - this paper is awesome!!! and it comes in tons of different shades!)

I must say this image was soooooo much fun to colour, especially that firey red hair. Gonna check out the great sale Kimmie has goin on (until tomorrow), I think I need a few more stamps (I'm sure some would beg to differ) ha ha!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Thinkin' of you!

This is the inside of the card!

I've been wanting to use this sweet little image from Pink Cat Studios for the longest time but knew I wanted to put her in some kind of window or house etc...On one my shopping ventures I came across a greeting card kit from Basic Grey (nook & pantry line). It has everything you need to make 8 adorable greeting cards, one of them was this layout with a window sill. I scooped it up and finally got Lily onto a card! I coloured Lily with my copics and stuck her behind the window sill, put the sentiment 'Thinkin' of you' (from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps) on the outside and the rest of the card was super easy to assemble, it was done in no time! I took a few different shots of the card so you could see the flowers on the inside. It turned out rather sweet!

I'm entering this for a few challenges:

A thank you card...

I've been on somewhat of a roll this week, I guess I'm catchin up from the move and the lack of stamping I did over the last few months! I love it, stamping is my therapy and my outlet and its great to be back in full swing!

This is another card I made for, yet again, Phebe from The Town Scrapper! I left with these adorable Sugarplums and just couldn't let them sit too long (cause you know what happens when you let them sit, new ones come along and well you know the story...or is it just me??? lol).

This is Winter Emma and she is toooo cute! I followed the Mojo Monday #120 sketch and I must say I would never think to layer so much and use so many elements, but am very pleased with the way it turned out. Following sketches is great and makes you think outside your comfort zone! I am also going to enter this over at The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog (challenge #48 - Thanks or Birthday).

I coloured Winter Emma using my copics, cut her out and pop dotted her on a circle and scalloped nestie. The yummy designer paper is from BoBunny which I also picked up from the Town Scrapper. The solid paper is Bazzill, the saying is from CCDesigns - AmyR Thankyou Sentiments. I found the little button brads in my stash. I am going to hop to it and make another one, cause I like it so much and all the stuff's sittin out so its easier than putting it away, hee hee!
Hope you're all trying to keep warm! Winter is definately here!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Sketch!

This was one of the adorable images I had my eye on over Christmas and was so excited when Phebe at The Town Scrapper had one left!!! These are from Whiff of Joy and this one is called Uru and Candycane. Too cute!!!!

I followed the sketch from the current Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog. I love sketch challenges, it is so easy to whip up a card, expecially for me cause I can be sketch 'challenged' for the most part. Some days I sit there forever trying to lay out a card....this does all the work for you!!!

I coloured Uru up with my copics following the colours from the current Copic Colour Challenge, and added some stickles to the candycane. I also used my glaze pen on the polkadots, patches and the holly on her hat but my camera didn't pick it up very well. I used organza ribbon for the strips and my bow-easy to make the teeny tiny bows! I can't live without my bow-easy, its definately a must have for any crafter!!!!!
Well, I'm going to make myself a cuppa tea, its freeeeezing where I am and need to warm up!

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year, let it snow!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and had lots of fun ringing in 2010!
Over the holidays I had a chance to go visit Phebe from The Town Scrapper in Petrolia. I have been eyeing some of her new stamps and was so excited there was still some left when I got there! I know Christmas is over but I can't resist using these stamps and it gives me a really early start for next year, hee hee! She's always got fantastic sales goin' on so don't hesitate to check in on her blog, like me, on a regular basis ha ha! (I always leave with an AWESOME stash!!!)

I made this card for Phebe, the image is from CCDesigns and is called Ski Bunny, Trevor looks all geared up to hit the slopes! How cute is he??? The Sugarplums and Swiss Pixies are some my favourite stamps around!

I coloured Trevor using my copic markers and paperpieced his hat, scarf and mitts using some patterned paper by Imaginisce. I broke out the old sewing machine again, and stitched around the image to give more texture. The button was from my stash and the sentiment from Sunshine Designs. I'm also entering this for The Pink Elephant Challenge which is Sketch Challenge #47. This was a fun card to make! Stay tuned for more!!!
