The Pink Elephant Challenge #69

Welcome to another fun week of The Pink Elephant!

This week's Theme:

"Gotta wear shades"

Use bright fun colours!!!
Our wonderful sponsor this week is:

digital stamps

They have some seriously cute digital images and what's even sweeter,
there's a little sale going on, check it out:

I got to play with Sunny Rays!

I printed off this cute image on some orange polkadot Basic Grey dp, but made it a bit larger to be the focal point of the card. I did some 'messy' stitching with my sewing machine to add some texture (who am I kidding? I can't stitch a straight line for the life of me, so I call it 'intentional messy stitching'..lol). I added some ribbon down the side with a sentiment already on it! Fun in the sun! Then finished it off with some bright blue buttons and floss!

I love bright cheery cards, so lets see what you can come up with. Don't forget to check out what the other gals on the Design Team have to show you!

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Can you Rough it Up for this Challenge?

For my Blog candy click HERE!
Its another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!

Yippie, I get to play hostess this week! I want to see you 'ROUGH IT UP'!
Just add any kind of texture or distressing to your project!!!
If you play along you will be entered to win the stamp I used for my card. Perfect Poison!!! LOVE IT!!!
I coloured her in with my copics and shaded around her with W0, W1, 0 and some prisma pencils. I added some distressing around the edge of the image using some Wheat Versa Mark chalk ink. I picked up this awesome DP by Sassafras Lass called 'Sweet Skully'. I loved it as soon as I saw it and had to have it whether or not I knew what I was going to do with it! Hence my huge paper collection! I also added some more texture by roughing up the edges with my distressing tool and added some mesh underneath the image. It was originally orange but I coloured it lightly with my copic 100 marker to make it black! I picked up the cool skull embellishment on clearance at Walmart the other day (they're actually iron-ons but knew they would go perfect with this stamp!). I also added some crystal lacquer to the bottle - you can see in the close up.

So join the challenge this week and make sure you check out what the Krafty Girls have created for you to see!

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

For my exciting Claudia & Company Announcement scroll down or click HERE!!!!
Today's Dare Challenge is brought to you by
Make your cards SPARKLE!

This stamp is called September Rhythm and was my favorite of the three stamps I got to work with!!! I just love her.

I used my copics and let me tell you I had markers all over the place when I was finished...I grabbed them and took a pic in case you were interested in any colours that were used.
I also added some shading with my prismacolor pencils. Then out came the Stickles, again! I looooove glitter, so this was THE perfect challenge for me - thanks girls! I used, Crystal, Frosted Lace, Lavender and Lime Green and went to town. I took a close up so you can see all the SPARKLE! I also used my clear glaze pen on some of the leaves, her lips and to outline her eyes. I love those lashes!

I just want to give a huge shout out to Lynette from Sweet Pea Stamps! Thanks so much for your generosity, this was a fun month - lots of glitter for me (and that makes me HAPPY)!!! Come get your Whimsy on...

Happy Whimsical Wednesday!

This weeks SKETCH challenge at the Diedrich Dare Blog is brought to you by Heather's cutie patooties Willow & Piper!

Check out these adorable sketches:

I loooved both sketches, great job girls! I followed Pipers sketch cause it seemed to fit with the big wings on the Sweet Pea Stamp I used BUT used the great idea from Willow to add a scalloped border.

I think I found my inner 'pea' this week. I had soooo much fun colouring up these stamps, I didn't want it to end. I used the Sweet Pea stamp 'My Buddy' by Ching-chou kuik. I'm calling her the Purple Frog Fairy. I was so inspired by all the purple on my fellow Daredevils cards last week, I was dying to use my purples!

I coloured her up with my copics and added some shading with my prismacolor pencils. Then I grabbed my stickles and went to work!!! Have I said before how much I love glitter??? I used my new Stampin Up Beautiful Wings Embosslit and added a little tiny purple butterfly to follow Piper's instructions!

Make sure you 'fly' over and join the dare this week, and also check out what the other Daredevils have to show you:

Cassie Larson, Heather Schlatter, Jacquie Peifer , Jessica Diedrich, Kim Ross, Rebecca Ednie, Randi Wall, Kris Palakiko, Andrea Murdock, Sara Henton

Here's my take on the sketch:

Isn't he the coolest little sk8ter dude you ever seen? I coloured him up with my copics and added in the sidewalk. I had to use the cool skull paper 'Erie' by Basic Grey. I printed the sentiment off from my computer....a little saying we used to say back in grade school when us girls would spy on the cool skater dudes! Oh those were the days!!!!
