'TEXT' Me.....

Happy Weekend Everyone!!! Today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps our talented Krafty Girl Tara is challenging you to use TEXT on your card! It can be in the paper, or a fabulous Krafty Quote, a Sentiment etc....we just want to see that text!!!

I chose to use one of the latest Scripture Quotes (and one of my favorites):

I used some gorgeous new paper from the brand new Fancy Pants Designs 6x6 paper pack (It's the Little Things), and paired it with some co-ordinating flowers and ribbon. All can be picked up at Scrappin Great Deals! I caved and added an Antique Brad from Stampin Up (I just loooove these brads, its hard parting with them they are so pretty). I used a scripture quote and picked out paper with a very small text print to go along with the challenge!

A hug for you...and mystery solved!

Everyone needs a good hug every now and then right? This card is perfect for such an occasion!!! Today I'm showing you one of the brand new lollipops over at By LORi Designs.

Lollipop Monkey (Girl)Now there's a little story behind this card. I coloured up this little monkey a few weeks ago and left her sitting on my desk on top of the matching dp by Doodle Bug Designs so I could come back and whip up a card later. Well, it mysteriously disappeared and I searched all over the place with no success! Until the other day, I was walking by my daughters little play area and something on the wall caught my eye. I looked over and sure enough there was lollipop monkey, stuck to the wall ever so carefully with a big wad of scotch tape. I very slowly removed it being careful not to take off a hunk of paint with it so I could pop it on a card for my long overdue post! I chuckled to myself and decided that I will give this card to my daughter, to reminder her I'll always be here to give her a hug, even if she continues to decorate her playspace with moms expensive crafts! The funny thing is we've always called her our little monkey since she was a baby, always on the go, ready for fun, and full of mischief! You would never know it to look at her though!

Today I'm showing you ROXY!!! Isn't she totally rad? Those shorts scream 80's to me! She reminds me of the good old days of rollerskating at Wheels wearing my rainbow legwarmers, big plastic earrings and anything, well, NEON! lol...For those of you who were lucky enough to experience any kind of roller-rink shenanigans way back when, I'm sure you're familiar with the backwards figure 8, moonlight waltz, girls and boys only skates etc...One of my favorite songs to skate to was, 'You dropped a bomb on me' by The Gap Band...They even had this little 'disco' area off to the side with this urethane floor that lit up all funky and stuff. 'Sigh' those days of hangin out at the stinky skate counter are gone but not forgotten. Ok, thanks for humoring me on my little trip down memory lane. I hope you like Roxy as much as I do! Get your attention? lol...We have a lot goin on today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps first off its Saturday so that means we have a new challenge for you. Today Kraftin' Kimmie herself wants to see you create a card with the theme:

And how appropriate that today is 'sneek peek day' for the brand new line of Annie Rodrigue images! OH boy, they are gonna knock your socks off!!! A whole line of rockin girls! They are all fabulous!!! So I told you the other day how excited I was about my card for today! Well today I get to introduce you to one of the brand new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps for May!!!

Introducing KRISTA!!

Isn't she awesome? I love her! I am a HUGE tennis fan, (I even share the same birthday as tennis great Monica Seles) so I'm just tickled pink over this image and already have a gazillion ideas on how to use her! I played with a few different shades of my copics to get the same hair colour as myself and think I came up with the perfect combo! My son thought so anyway...lol! (E31,15,17,27). I'm planning on framing this for my office/craft room so I didn't add a sentiment. But she comes with two sentiments: 'Life's a ball' and 'You've got game'! I used one of my favorite punches from Martha Stewart (Garden Trellis) and tried to make it resemble a 'net'. Well, a 'fancy' net to match her fancy pink racket! lol!

Isn't this sooo cute? She reminds me of Raggedy Ann, one of my favorite dolls from way back when..lol...so I couldn't resist colouring her hair to resemble her. I coloured her with my copics and tried to match it to the new dp by Jillibean Soup (Blossom Soup). This paper is perfect for any springy image! I LOVE it! I added a crocheted flower from SU and placed a flocked brad in the centre and added some ribbon for some extra frills.
