Release Day and a big Blog Hop!

Do YOU know what day it is??? It’s Krafty RELEASE Day!! Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing their new October stamps and there’s SO much to SEE!!

Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of FUN new stamps for you to get inky with! We’ve got something for everyone!! There is a fun new trio of SNOWPEEPS from Cheryl Alger ! We have a super fun set of five animals having fun in the white stuff from Emilie Goulet called the WINTER WONDERLAND collection! And of course we have an amazing new set of six EVERYDAY GIRLS from Annie Rodrigue!

You will get to see most of the new images today as you sit back and enjoy our OCTOBER Krafty Hop! If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog! As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release!! And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available!

And of course, as always, we have our Gimme Kimmies Kits available for those of you who ‘need it all’!! The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time!!

So for my card/s today I'm showcasing Kool Kitty from artist Emilie Goulet. There are two cards because I did the first one up and wasn't happy with it even after I took the picture, so after stewing about it for a bit, I carefully lifted Kool Kitty off the first card and created a whole new one that I was much happier with.

1st attempt: (I found the image was too big for the smaller card size, it still would make for a cute little note card):
2nd attempt: Still not 100% happy but I liked it much better!

The inside sentiment reads, "You call this a winter wonderland?" I coloured this cool cat up with my copics and cut him out leaving a little bit of an outline. I used some new paper from BoBunny's Blitzen collection and used my giant scallop punch on all the papers. My Bow Easy helped me make the pretty double bow, then using dimensionals I popped him right along the bottom of the ribbon.

I hope you're enjoying yourself so far! Now hop on over to Carole's awesome blog and see the wonderful creation she has to show you! Don't forget to leave your comments! There's some very Krafty Rubber to be won!

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge and sneek peek day 3!

I hope you're having a great weekend! Today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, we have a challenge AND another fabulous sneek peek for you! Today's challenge is a sketch from Krafty Girl Pam! I love sketch challenges, they take all the guess work out of having to come up with a layout on your own! Make sure you play along with us and upload your project HERE, for your chance to win some Krafty Rubber!!! Now, onto the new release stamps from Annie Rodrigue! Today I'm showing you Missy! She is one of several new girlie girls from this months release! Here is my card using the above sketch:

Close up of the image:
I love her 'retro' looking headphones and how she's dancing away to some tunes on her Ipod. Her outfit screamed 80's to me so I chose some appropriate colours to suit the decade, coloured her with my copics and picked some dp to match. I finished off the sketch with some green brads and it was done in a flash!Make sure you leave your comments as you check out the Krafty Girls' blogs, you could win some stamps from the new release! Woohoo!

So, tomorrow's the big day! Release day and a big ol' blog hop! Make sure you come back for the fun!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kraftin' Kimmie Sneek Peeks....day 2....

Hey peeps! Today is day 2 of Kraftin Kimmie's October Stamp Peeks! Today we are featuring some ADORABLE images from artist Emilie Goulet! These are some cute cute images and as always Emilie's images are FULL of personality! Love them!

Ok, so today I've used 'Chilly Chickie' don't you love that name? Too cute!

I coloured up Chilly Chickie with my copics and used my circle nesties to cut her out. The blue card base was pre-made (love that) and also came with the green circle piece. I added the yellow and pink circles and some rhinestones around the scalloped edge. I also used some pink bakers twine and a MS snowflake embellishment to finish it off! I think add "You're one cool chick" to the inside as a sentiment!

I hope you're liking the peeks so far! I'm having fun playing along this month, but I'll be back tomorrow and Sunday with more! Woo hoo!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Weekend!

Kraftin Kimmie's October Peeks....start today....

Hi Everybody! Well I think I've recouperated from Krafty Day last weekend! I just have to say what a great time I had seeing everyone and meeting some new people, and hanging out with the girls! What fun! Annie Rodrigue was there, man she is one rediculously talented artist. Watching her in action was such a treat for me as I have such a love for art! She is also the sweetest lil thing too! It was so exciting to meet her! She did her magic and came up with a few original drawings that she so generously donated to raffle off that day! Oh those lucky winners! Anyway the day was a great success and everyone had a great time! Can't wait till next year!

I'm excited to be posting today as I'm playing along as a guest this month for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! This month's release is filled with lots of amazing new stamps that I know you'll be excited about!

Today all the Krafty Girls are featuring cards and projects featuring artist Cheryl Alger! She's created some cute snowmen just in time for winter to arrive! Today I've used this cute 'snowgirl' holding a warm cup of hot chocolate with a heaping pile of yummy whip cream on top! I wanted to use some of the new BoBunny Blitzen paper I picked up at Scrappin Great Deals! I love this line of paper I couldn't use just one piece! So I decided to create a card with a pocket on the inside to hold either a Timmie's gift card, hot chocolate etc...Check it out...

Here's the inside where you can put some individual tea packets, a pouch of hot chocolate or a gift card...The sentiment you see below also comes with this stamp...perfect! Isn't that paper gorgeous? Love it!

I coloured her with my copics, cut her out and popped her on the card. I added some glitter to her hat and dots on her scarf. I used White Perfect Puff from the Artful Stamper to the top of her mug. Its like liquid applique, you add a bit, let it dry then take your heat tool and once it starts to get warm it puffs up. It looks just like real whip cream or marshmallows! Great stuff and fun to play with!

Next is a bookmark made with another new snowman! This was one of the 'make & takes' from Krafty Day last weekend.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Krafty Girls have to show you! Come back tomorrow for more peeks, I'll be here!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Trick or Treat.....

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today I've got a CA-UTE image to show you! Meet Mummy Marvin from By LORi Designs!! I'm slowly getting ready for Halloween. My kids are pumped and have their costumes all picked out and ready to go. I've been refraining from picking up halloween treats that tempt me everywhere I go! I did cave to the little mini 'classic chicklets'...I figured its gum not candy so thats ok!...right...lol!

Anyway, my card featuring Mummy Marvin was put together with some left over scraps of very old Basic Grey papers. I kept it clean and simple and added some linen thread for some added texture. The trick or treat sentiment is from Me & My Big Ideas - woven labels. Marvin was coloured with my copics: E000,00,11,35,50,51,53,55,R20,B91,95,97,YR 12,18

Today is 'Tuesday's with By Lori Designs' so don't forget to hop over the the By LORi Designs Blog to check out some FABULOUS creations from our desigers!

Enjoy your week! Thanks for stopping by!

ITS KRAFTY DAY!!!!! YAY!!!!

It’s KRAFTY DAY!!! As most of you probably know, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is putting on a fantastic event today with all the local stampers and scrappers!! Since most of our online friends aren’t able to join us, except in spirit, we thought we’d do something special!!

The attendees of Krafty Day will enjoy a lovely KKS tote bag filled with goodies and one of those goodies is a special commemorative stamp, created especially for the event!! It’s called Best Friends from artist Annie Rodrigue! Well, how would YOU like to get one too?!! Beginning today and running only until Friday, October 21st, each and every order over $75 before shipping and taxes will receive this stamp for FREE!! How about that??!!

Here is my card using the commemorative stamp 'Best Friends'!

I cased a layout from the wonderfully talented Michele Boyer! I was stuck and happened to be browsing her awesome blog when I got inspiration from this card! Seriously if you haven't checked out her blog, you MUST, but you might be a while, her work is so inspirational!!! ;)

I used 3 different patterns from Echo Park 's Springtime line and matted them all on black cardstock. The image was coloured with my copics (I coloured it to look like me and my best friend since the 9th gr!)....love this stamp!!! Then I added some pink and white bakers twine and a homemade button I purchased from Etsy ages ago!

Make sure you check out the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop and don't forget the blog where you'll see many more inspiring samples of the 'Best Friends' stamp!

Thanks for stopping by today!

A cute little Boo...

Happy Fall y'all!!! I can't believe summer is over, the kids are back in school and the leaves are already turning! Waaaaaaaahhhhh! I love fall but I'm NOT ready for Winter to come! Lets get through Halloween first, but its hard when the stores are already stocking shelves full of Christmas stuff! Eeck!

Anyway, I'm slowly starting to get back into my crafty cave now that I have a 'bit' more time on my hands...today I'm showing you an adorable littte 'Boo' from By LORi Designs!!! How cute is he? This reminds me of the movie E.T. (not a huge fan, it totally scared me as a child)...but when they dressed him up as a ghost for Halloween and had him waddle around I thought it was too cute. This little ghost is part of a set called 'Peek & Boo' and can be found HERE along with many more adorable NEW images to play with!

Here's a close up of my colouring to show you how you can create the 'pleating' effect in the sheet. I used copics C0,1,3, and a bit of 5,for the deep shadows, and blended it out quite a bit with C00.
I'm entering this into the current MOJO MONDAY Sketch Challenge! Click here to see the sketch and play along! Also Papertake Weekly has an 'Anything Goes' Challenge! I'm playing along with that too!

Well, I'll be visiting with lots of family this weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving! To all my Canadian peeps, I'm wishing you happy and safe Thanksgiving! I know one thing I'm thankful for....YOU! Thanks for stopping by today!
