Its a new challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog!
BUT, before we go any further, I have to let you know of the awesome sale that is going on this weekend at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!
To celebrate National Scrapbooking Day, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is having a super sale for the whole weekend!! Some of your favourite images and sentiment sets are on sale from 25-50% off, now until Sunday night at midnight EST!
This week's challenge is a fun SKETCH from the very talented Jeanne!
I used the adorable image You Lift Me Up, from the Cindy and Mindy line - this image makes me chuckle everytime! I coloured the image with my copic markers and then added some shading with my prisma pencils. I've been dying to try out my new MicroFine Glitter Ritz I picked up from Scrapfest a few weeks ago. Let me tell you this picture does it NO justice. It looks so so so much better IRL! Trust me. I wasn't happy with the way my photo of the card turned out but that was the best I could do!
I beleive this technique is called burnished velvet, and thats exactly what it feels like after you touch it, like ultra suede or velvet and you get NO glitter on your hands. I used the Crystal Transparent 'Cool' Glitter. Here's a little tutorial on how to use it!
So be sure to swing by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog and see what the other ultra fine Krafty Girls have to show you, and play along with us this week for your chance to win some Krafty rubber!!! Oh and go check out that sale!!!
Hope you enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Krista! Kinda wishing that I went to Scrapfest now! Got to love new products to play with. Really like how your coloured image turned out. My first thought before reading your entire post was that it looked like velvet. Have a great weekend! I'm off to check out your tutorial! ;) Tracy
