I received some Whipper Snapper stamps for Christmas, I was so excited 'cause I didn't own any before, so getting some off my wish list was a treat! I love this image, I'm usually drawn to the girly images and papers and find it more of a challenge to make masculine cards. Speaking of challenges, I've used the sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges this week. Its a great little layout by Lori Boyd.I coloured 'Baseball Brandon' using my copic markers, I shaded around the image using my prismacolour pencils. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket and I used Stampin Up for the solid colours. The sentiment is from Inky Antics. Now, on to the baseball....you know when you get an idea in your head and it seems like it would be just a sinch to pull off? It actually turned out pretty good in the end but it took me a while to figure out how the baseball stitches should look. I googled 'baseball images' and tried to copy how the ball looked. I cut a circle with my Creative Memories circle cutters and inked around the edges. I added two curved lines then poked holes with my piercing tool. Then I just stitched with red thread and roughed it up a little bit.
I'll be giving this card to my son, he really is my all star kid!!!
