Since my office is back in order, I've had a chance to go through some boxes we still haven't unpacked since moving here. I came across a bunch of rocks that I painted around the time my son was born (about 10 years ago)....I loooove painting! I'd find cool shaped rocks and paint them into houses. I even made little nativity scenes on tiny rocks but gave them away as gifts and didn't get any pictures of them (waaah!). They make great paperweights...lol! I have sold some but here is a little sample of my favourites:
We put the Haunted House out every year at Halloween!
This one is roughly the size of the top of a tootsie pop sucker! 
The chimneys are formed using wood filler, then, when dry (which takes no time at all), you can paint right over it!Its a great activity to do with the kids (very inexpensive) and the hunt for the perfect rock is sometimes the best part!
