Can you believe it's JUNE already?! I can't believe summer is almost here! The DIEDRICH DARE will be taking a bit of a break....

Here's my take on the challenge: I was inspired by all the bright fun colours!!!
I coloured up a much neglected Whipper Snapper stamp called 'Love Bug'. I used lots of fun bright colours and added some stickles and crystal lacquer to the shell.

Happy Whimsical Wednesday to you all! This weeks challenge at the Diedrich Dare Challenge Blog is a COLOR Challenge! Here's your inspiration:

How's that for a challenge? Well it was for me anyway!!! I must say I've never used this color combo before, but I always like a good challenge, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome of my card!
Here's my take on the color combo:

I used the incredibly adorable Tennis Anya from The Greeting Farm (our sponsor this month). I'm a HUGE tennis fan. I played it in highschool, and almost every Saturday afternoon with my brother way back when....I beat him everytime of course...lol...oh I love the smack talk! Brings back memories of fighting over a point, or if it was in or out, then it was game over when someone inevitably starting acting like McEnroe! Thats why I couldn't resist adding this cheeky little sentiment, to go along with her firey reddish hair!

It's a Whimsical kind of Wednesday...

Happy Wimsical Wednesday! This weeks challenge is a rockin SKETCH by Jack!

I'm all in my glory this month because the sponsor for the DD Blog is The Greeting Farm and I can't get enough of them! Have you seen their new website? Its too stinkin cute! I used WS Rain Rain image, isn't she adorable? And appropriate with the rain we've been having lately! And there's lots more to come, ah the joys of spring. At least its not snow!
I coloured her with my copic markers and added some brads for buttons and repeated the brads in the corners. The dp is American Crafts and the cute button and heart charm is from a recent shopping trip to The Town Scrapper. The little teeny tiny sentiment is from Stamping Bella!

Ready for a colour challenge?

Are you ready for another Whimsical Wednesday DareDevil Challenge? Well this week its a COLOR challenge. Here's your inspiration:

This was my take on the challenge: Pink & Brown with a little Bling on the side!!!

This month's sponsor at Whimsical Wednesday's is one of my absolute favorite stamp companies THE GREETING FARM! I just can't get enough of them!!! I chose to use the cute digi stamp WS Audrey (she was a freebie a while back and couldn't resist). Isn't she the cutest little tomboy?
As usual, I coloured her up using the copic colors in the picture above. I like clean and simple layouts and it seemed to work with this image. I paper pieced her ball cap using some dp by Pink Paislee. I added a little bit of bling by adding some rhinestones to the top and bottom corners of the image and also put some blingy bobbles in her ponytail!

Ho Ho Ho!

Just a quick post tonight, this is for the SSDS Challenge this week, which is most fittingly "Christmas"!! Thats right, a nice easy challenge, make anything that has a Christmas theme. This stamp is from The Greeting Farm set called XMAS Sweeties! I coloured her in with my Copics and blinged her up with lots and lots of Diamond Stickles!!!! Her shoes, belt buckle, scarf, and the white fluff on her skirt, cuffs and hood are all decked out with glitter!!! The dp I've had forever in my stash and the card base and pink mat is from Stampin Up. I cut the image out using my Nesties and the big striped brad is from My Mind's Eye - Abbey Road line (which I looove!). This turned out pretty simple but I also think its a fun card and I know just the 'fun' person to send it to !!!
We're settling in from the move more and more each day, it does get easier day by day!!! (totally did not mean for that to rhyme!) (ooh that might be a good sentiment for a stamp LOL)!

Limited Edition Scrapbook Kit Reveal! SGD!

I am very happy to be posting today cause it’s for Sheila at Scrappin’ Great Deals! I was so excited when I was asked to design for the September Kit I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! Anything you see in the pictures that isn’t in the kit was from my own stash and can also be found at SGD…so, here goes…

For the first layout I created, I used the pastel plaid paper by Little Yellow Bicycle. It matched perfectly with the dress my daughter is wearing in the pics. I used my Cricut to cut out the letters & flowers sprouting from Bazzill cardstock doodle strips at the bottom of the page . I Added some of the BoBunny chipboard accents and a few buttons to finish it off!

I used the ‘Honeycomb’ paper by Basic Grey for my 2nd layout. I thought the sepia tone in the picture would work well with the rustic look to this pattern. I used my Cricut (I can’t live without it when I scrapbook!) to cut out the letters. I cut the letters out a second time with the shadow mode and then used some blue chalk to ink around the edges. If you look closely I added some light pink and yellow Robins Nest dew droplets ‘cause they remind me of the little blobs of honey that you get after squeezing it from the bottle and thought it tied in with the theme! I made a lot of cards with this kit! I used my copic markers to colour all of the images for my cards. (Sheila has THE best selection of copics by the way). For this card, I love how the Lulu Ketto image (by Stamping Bella) fit right inside the big chipboard accent, and the Bling it flower by Basic Grey went well with all the sparkles in the paper. This paper is absolutely gorgeous and has alot of sparkle to it but unfortunately my camera didn't quite pick it up very well!

One of my favourite items in the kit was the Sakura Glitter pen (what a score!). I LOVE these pens. I especially love this one. I used it to outline the stamped Anya Mermaid image to add some shimmer! I co-ordinated the Cloud 9 Orange Grove designer paper with the blue Bazzill cardstock and used the orange metallic shimmer cardstock for the base of the card. I added some waves at the bottom using my Fiskars Boundary Waters border punch.

For the next card I used the green argyle patterned paper by Lemonade, with the orange metallic card stock. I used the chipmunk image (The Greeting Farm) and the Mini Shimmer alphas with the chocolate brads to give the card the feeling of fall (which doesn't feel too far away with all this chilly weather we've been having...aaack!).

I used the same patterned paper but got a completely different look for my next card. The awesome Prima Caboodles flowers are perfect for this layout! I used the cream coloured Bazzill cardstock for the base.

I still had a little bit of paper left over and thought it matched the blue & pinks (& orange carrot) in this turtle/ bunny image I had (The Greeting Farm). I also used the glitter pen to outline the flower on turtles head!

I have never used a transparent overlay before but found one of my favourite pictures my son took of me and my hubby a few years back and thought it went great. This one by Bo-Bunny called Happy Together is adorable! I kept it really simple and used the cream coloured Bazzill cardstock for the base and added the treasured moments twill ribbon with the Bazzill cardstock doodle strips (it's much nicer in person..I swear lol). As you can see, the possibilities are endless and I still had a ton of stuff left over! You have to check out these other fantastic blogs Deena , Leah and Sarah to see how they created with this kit! Surfer Ian!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! How cute is this Greeting Farm stamp??? Surfer Ian!!! Just snagged it from another 'road trip' to The Town Scrapper. I made a birthday card and had so much fun colouring him! The sentiment is CC Designs. There were so many possibilities for the background paper, but I finally chose CosmoCricket - snorkel. I added some ribbon & buttons to the wave at the bottom. I didn't want to give it away after I finished it...lol!

'Dotty Spotty' Challenge - TGF

I made this card for TGF challenge "Dotty Spotty" I cut out a big circle for a 'polka dot' card and then layered more polka dot circles on top of each other using my creative memories circles templates. I embellished with Rain dots and even put some on the beads in her flowing lovely blonde hair! This was a fun challenge!

Deer Friend...

I made this card using the adorable deer stamp from The Greeting Farm (Forest Friends) I got from The Town Scrapper. Used my copics and basic grey paper with some prima flowers and it was done in a flash!

Hello Card...

This was also one of my first cards, with the adorable Greeting Farm stamp 'Teacher Anya' I picked up at The Town Scrapper. I was just playing around and it turned out plain and simple.

I get by with a little help...

So, this is my very first post and I really have no idea what I'm doing so I'm just wingin' it!! This is one my my first cards I've made since I've jumped back into cardmaking. I am totally in LOVE with this image by The Greeting Farm called Hello Ian. Picked it up at The Town Scrapper in Petrolia a few weeks ago. Coloured him with my new copic markers (which I also LOVE), popped him on a card with the 'get by with a little help' sentiment I got at SGD & voila!!! I am a newbie to the 'blogging' world, so if anyone has any tips or I'm doing anything wrong please tell me!!!
