Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays, Sketch Challenge!!!

My friend Lisa asked me to be a guest designer for the September 26 Challenge over at the Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays blog. Of course I said YES!!! How fun is that? This week's challenge was a sketch challenge, as seen below. SSDS have weekly challenges and give away great prizes, check out the blog, and join in on the fun! Also, check out Lisa's blog a member of SSDS's design team, to see her awesome creation!!! I love sketch challenges, they make it very easy to complete a card and sometimes challenge you to think outside the box a little. This one did just that for me! This is what I came up with, check it out... I used the adorable image 'Shy Hilda' by Motivet (you can find Motivet stamps at The Town Scrapper), coloured her with my copics and completely cut her out! I added some stickles to her hair bows to bling her up and it matched the DP from Heidi Grace Designs. I used pink Bazzill for the card base. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and the ribbon I had in my stash. I used pop dots to mount 'Hilda' to the card for some added dimension! I like how it turned out, sweet and simple! Birthday Wishes!

Here is another card I have made for Phebe at The Town Scrapper. These Motivet stamps are so sweet, and fun to colour. The Town Scrapper has a whole bunch of these stamps to choose from, but the choosing is the hard part, cause they're all so darn cute! I coloured Doraline with my copic markers focusing on the colours (BG02, RV02 & YGo3) from the Copic Colour Challenge, and of course added some Stickles - yep still obsessed...lol. I can't resist the glitter these days! I used lime green Stickles to bring out the cuffs on her shirt and crystal for the rest. I used my Creative Memories circle cutters for the image and frame. The adorable patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs called Cuppy Cake which I also got from The Town Scrapper. I added some ribbon with sugar coated brads to the sides of the circle for an added touch! Thanks for looking, till next time,

Motivet Sketch Challenge!

Here is my entry for July's Motivet Sketch Challenge. This challenge was fun, I love the layout. I even broke out the old sewing maching and tried some stitching. It was harder than I thought. I'm not used to sewing on paper (fabric is more forgiving - ya can't see that my 'straight' lines aren't straight...). Anyway, these Dexter and Doraline stamps are so adorable (Phebe at The Town Scrapper carries these), I love colouring them with my copics! The sentiment is also Motivet. The solid coloured paper is Stampin Up and the patterned paper is by Cosmo Cricket. Looking forward to the next challenge!!!
